Immediate Need

More than 3,500 miles lie between two new parishes.  One parish is in Togo.  The other is in the island country of Madagascar.  Though miles apart, the parishes share the same need:  liturgical items for the celebration of the sacraments.  Recently, Divine Word Missionaries in those countries took up the care of two more parishes and have urgently appealed for help.

Father Czeslaw Sadecki SVD serves in St. Anthony of Padua Parish in Ipasa, Madagascar.  In addition to the main church in Ipasa, this rural parish includes Catholic faith communities in seven scattered villages.

Father Mathias Yaadar SVD is assigned to the newly erected St. Arnold Janssen Parish in Sadori, Togo. Sadori was once a village with a small number of Catholics.  Now the faith community has grown and Sadori been made the main station of the new parish.

The people of these parishes are hungry for the Word of God and the sacraments.

Help Fr. Mathias, Fr. Czeslaw, and their parishioners have the liturgical items they need…

On their behalf, we thank you for helping us fulfill their request.
