Divine Word Missionaries are working to meet these urgent needs by forming more young men for missionary priesthood and religious life. We remain one of the few Catholic congregations of religious men that is steadily growing, with close to 1,000 seminarians in 41 seminaries preparing for ordination into the mission of the Divine Word each year. Forming them is a blessing—but also a significant challenge, costing about $40,000 a year to educate and train just one seminarian.
