Dear Mission Friend,
The Solemnity of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus celebrates Christ’s love for humanity. This is the love that theologians call Agape, the pure, unconditional love of Jesus for all of us—and the love we should have for each other as fellow children of God.
Too often, many of the people we reach have not known the love of their fellow man. They scrounge for food in the slums of Indore, India. They search for shelter in the garbage dumps of Cebu City in the Philippines. Or they are refugees from war zones in countries as far flung as South Sudan, Bangladesh and Ukraine. These people, and others like them, desperately need to feel in its fullness the power of Christ’s love.
Can you help us to serve these people so neglected by society?
